The Highlands Zombie Parade shambles down Bay Avenue in Highlands, NJ. Make-up artists are available at 10 am and you must be registered to join in the parade.

Begun in October 2015, Makerfest is an experimental, experiential, educational, and FREE annual community event. A celebration of creativity and imagination that’s part MythBusters, part science lab, part county fair, and part art studio. It consists of 70-100 maker booths, to LearningSpaces for workshops, an EdTalk stage, a Roborena, and — new for 2017– the first Jersey Shore Hackathon, the Toms River United Sustainability Team (TRUST) Green Fair, and activities supporting the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read of the post pandemic novel Station Eleven. Over 200 makers and 8000 attendees joined us in our first two years.
Foodstock is an annual food drive / music festival held in Freehold, New Jersey. Come to the event with non-perishable food donations and get rewarded with a picnic-style dinner with free food and drinks. Unlimited beer, wine and sangria are included for those who purchase a wristband for proof-of-age. You, along with any families or friends who help, are welcomed to come to the Party!

The New Jersey Offshore Powerboat Racing Association has been the host club since racing started in Point Pleasant Beach some 40+ years ago. NJ Offshore (NJOPRA) is still a very active club with over 100 members and has kept the tradition of Offshore Racing alive on the Jersey Shore for all those years.

Join the fun for one of the most popular Halloween traditions at the Jersey Shore – Brick Township’s Trunk or Treat and Halloween Spooktacular. Residents, civic groups and local businesses are invited to bring their cars, decorate them, pop the trunk and hand out treats to young ‘trunk or treater.’ In addition, there will be a hayride, and costume parade. Trophies for costumes and decorated cars. Registration is required for anyone wishing to decorate a trunk.
A tasting and a self-guided ‘haunted’ wine walk are part of a wicked good time.
Plan on having a bit of seasonal fun while sipping 4JG’s delicious wines. While the little ones are always welcomed with their parents, the fun is intended for the over 21 crowd.
Entrance Fee is $10 per person, 21 and older

The Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign benefitting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission to cure blood cancer. The Night time walk is free to attend, family, stroller, wheelchair and dog friendly, and is only 1.5 miles long so there is no training involved! Supporters, patients, survivors, and loved ones walking in memory all come together carrying illuminated lanterns to Light the Night and bring Light to the Darkness of Cancer. Join us in celebrating the advancements we have made in blood cancer research so far, as well as remembering those who have lost their battle to blood cancer. All ages are welcome to attend, we have a DJ, balloon artist, face painters, a moon bounce, photo booth, food, dessert and fireworks!
