Zombies of ALL ages will invade Highlands! Pre-parade, make-up artists will be available in Huddy Park at 10 a.m. while DJ Johnny will be spinning some spooky tunes. Post-parade, there will be a best costume contest in Veterans Park. There is something for ALL AGES! Hope to see you there, you would be a “ghoul” to miss it!

The annual harvest arts festival is set to return to Toms River and is bringing all of the excitement of the fall season with it. Rides and games will line the streets for the kids along with art vendors, musical performers, and craft tents. Take a stroll down Washington Street while admiring the rustic decorations and maybe participate in The Scarecrow Walk along the way.

Darko Tresnjak, the Tony Award–winning director of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, makes his Met debut directing the first new Met production of the opera in 20 years. Sir Mark Elder conducts.
On October 20th the American Littoral Society is hosting Oh, Oysters! A Celebration of Re-Oystering New Jersey’s Waters to raise funds for coastal conservation and bring awareness to the plight of the once prolific Eastern Oyster. The event will include a reception prior to a screening of “The Oyster Farmers” film, as well as a panel discussion with the featured farmers, Society staff, and other experts.
Visit Tuckerton Seaport, if you dare, for a frightastic adventure known in local lore as Haunted Seaport. Haunted Seaport will take place on Thursday, October 18, Friday, October 19, and Saturday, October 20, and Sunday October 21 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm each night (last admission will be at 8pm or earlier dependng on capacity). Pirates and Sea Captains long lost at sea will stroll the Seaport’s boardwalk for a night of screams.
General Admission is $10 for adults, $5 kids 5-12, kids under 5 and Seaport members receive free general admission.
Hero 5k run will take place at 9:30am. Hero ceremonies are at 10:30am. The walk is a 5k walk along the Ocean City boardwalk. We raise awareness of the importance of sober designated drivers.
