When his granddaughter Jenny comes for a visit, Farmer Brown declares the farm a “tech-free zone.” He confiscates her laptop, leaving it in the cold barn along with the shivering cows who use Jenny’s computer to type messages requesting blankets. Farmer Brown refuses and the cows go on strike. Will Farmer Brown give in to the animals’ demands? Will Jenny get her computer back? The Linwood Arboretum, a pocket sized public garden with something in bloom every day of the year, has hosted visitors from around the world. The garden highlights worthy but uncommon plants that thrive in this area. We have collections of magnolias, hydrangeas, witch hazels, camellias, a bog garden and more.
Garden helpers of all ages and skills are welcome, there is always something to learn and do. Contact us through our web page or Facebook page for information about volunteering, visiting, tours and membership. Friends of the Linwood Arboretum meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6pm. The arboretum is open to the public every day, dawn to dusk.
