Bike New York and the Highlands Business Partnership host the 17th Annual Twin Light Bike ride beginning at 7 am. Cyclists have a choice of five routes for all age levels along some of New Jersey’s most spectacular seashore and countryside scenery. Online registration. Onsite registration opens at 7 am and closes at 10:30 am. Admission and parking are free. Fresh, local seafood and other culinary delights for sale at the post-ride festival and 15 plus restaurants to choose from in town. Great food, music and more!
This fall, Morey’s Piers brings a taste of Oktoberfest to the Wildwoods boardwalk with special German themed menus, an outdoor “biergarten,” live entertainment, a kids “Rootbier Garten” activity area and much more. Oktoberfest festivities will take place at Mariner’s Pier located at Schellenger Avenue and the boardwalk.
Jumbo’s restaurant will feature a special themed selection of Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst, German potato salad, schnitzel and more. On tap, guests will find a wide selection of beers and tasting flights to be enjoyed at an outdoor “biergarten” located behind Jumbo’s with live entertainment from The Oompah-Delics.
KIDS ACTIVITIES. Besides the rootbier that never stop flowing at the Rootbier Garden, the little squirts can decorate pumpkins & cookies and work their way through all the rides and games on Mariner’s Pier. Pumpkin 7 Cookie Decorating is an additional charge.

A brand new show to celebrate 10 Years of Celtic Thunder with a fantastic performance featuring 27 new songs including traditional and contemporary Irish songs, classic hits, love songs, nostalgic songs and fun retro songs drawn from the soundtrack of our lives. A variety of solo and ensemble numbers featuring something for everyone and showcases the magic that turned Celtic Thunder into a household name in 2008.
Starting in September 2017, Two River Theater will host a new series of participatory master classes called First Monday Masters, led by some of the marvelous artists who are involved in our season. Some master classes will be for high-school students, some for adults, and some will be for mixed ages. Classes will be taught by actors, directors, playwrights, and designers—great artists who are excited to share their visions and work with students and lifelong learners.
Most First Monday Masters are on Monday evenings from 6-8pm at Two River Theater. Spots are limited. Cost: $40 per class.
Teachers can use our two-hour First Monday Masters classes for professional development, and will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the evening. Acclaimed artist and activist Joan Baez has announced an extensive run of North American shows, titled “Fare Thee Well,” marking Baez’s last year of formal touring and including this performance at the historic Count Basie Theatre.
“I’m looking forward to being on the road with a beautiful new album of which I am truly proud,” says Baez. “I welcome the opportunity to share this new music as well as longtime favorites with my audiences around the world.”

Soprano Anna Netrebko sings her first Met Aida, with mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili as her formidable rival Amneris. Aleksandrs Antonenko is the warrior Radamès, and Nicola Luisotti takes the podium for the Met’s monumental production.
Wanda Sykes has been called “one of the funniest stand-up comics” by her peers and ranks among Entertainment Weekly’s 25 Funniest People in America. Her smart-witted stand up has sent her career in many different areas.
Her work over the years included comedy that touched on politics, her personal life, and observational humor. Wanda has starred in numerous television comedy specials, on Comedy Central and HBO. Her latest comedy special, What Happened…. Ms. Sykes premiered in Fall 2016 on Epix.
Wanda has appeared in several films, like 2017’s Snatched with Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn, Evan Almighty in which she co-starred with Steve Carell, and Monster-In-Law starring opposite Jane Fonda, to name a few. She can also be heard in animated movies like Over the Hedge and The Barnyard, and as “Granny” in the most recent Ice Age films.
Her first book titled Yeah, I Said It, published by Simon and Schuster, hit bookstores in September 2004. Yeah, I Said It is a hilarious collection of essays touching on life, family and current events.
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. Join with other Kaleidoscope of Hope Foundation supporters to learn about the symptoms of ovarian cancer and raise funds for ovarian cancer research. Event begins at 9 am and includes 1, 3 and 5 mile walks. T-shirts to all registered participants. Registration opens at 8:15 am. Register online.
The 3rd Annual Oktoberfest takes place on Saturday, Sept. 29th and Sunday, Sept. 30th from 11AM to 6PM both days. Join us on the Boulevard between Webster Ave and Dupont Ave. Oktoberfest kicks off on Saturday at 11AM with the Tapping of the Keg! The event also features seasonal craft beer tastings, great bands all weekend long, authentic German food, artisans and crafters, beer garden, food trucks, and kids zone. Patrons are limited to one tasting session per day. Tasting session options are 12:00 Noon to 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM each day.
