With super-sized vocals and genre-spanning songwriting chops that blur the lines between country, pop and rock, Maggie Rose has earned a loyal audience, both in her adopted hometown of Nashville and beyond. It’s an audience that’s grown with her for nearly a decade, spending days as a songwriter and nights sharing the stage with artists like Tim McGraw and Sheryl Crow. Through it all, Rose has established herself as a rare triple threat: a multi-faceted artist who can write, perform, and produce a hit song.

In what’s quickly becoming an annual Jersey Shore holiday tradition, the sixth installment of Santa For… events is stuffing your stocking with a night “of awesome music and offensive jokes” according to Brian Kirk. Designed to raise funds and awareness to help combat hunger, this three-hour jingle balling of a show boasts the comedic antics of Brian Kirk and the musical talent of the Jirks together with more special musical acts.

Passion drives ideas, people, and communities to action. Passion makes leaders. Passion combined with knowledge creates new ideas worth spreading. Passion can lead both to creation and destruction, to inspiration, suffering, grit, compassion, and extraordinary service. TEDxAsburyPark discovers and curates 25 artists and speakers who will share their passion stories on the famed Paramount Theatre stage in an all-day event on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
Darlene Love and friends will be bringing the holiday spirit to the stage, performing both Christmas classics and Love’s own greatest hits. Her Billboard hits include: “The Boy I’m Gonna Marry,” “Wait ‘Til My Bobby Gets Home,” “He’s Sure the Boy I Love” and the #1 holiday classic “Christmas Baby Please Come Home,” a song that she performed annually with Paul Shaffer and the CBS Symphony Orchestra on The Late Show With David Letterman for 29 years.

In January of 2016, brothers Zachary and Dylan Zmed (acoustic guitars/vocals) and their partner (drummer in the group) Burleigh Drummond began developing The Everly Brothers Experience show. Since then they have celebrated the pivotal sounds of The Everly Brothers music with enthusiastic crowds all across the US and over seas in iconic clubs, theaters, performing arts centers, casinos, ballrooms, and coliseums. The Zmeds say, “Our aim is to honor the aesthetics of their iconic sound and honor their unique place in music history all while telling our own personal story,” and they do just that.
The plot is simple: a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history, thereby bilking their backers (all “little old ladies”) out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! The antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they maneuver their way fecklessly through finding a show (the gloriously offensive “Springtime for Hitler”), hiring a director, raising the money and finally going to prison for their misdeeds is a lesson in broad comic construction. At the core of the insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends.
There is probably no single race more famous than The Benihana Offshore Grand Prix. This race was known as the Indy 500 of Offshore Racing and was held in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, during the 1970’s. The New Jersey Offshore Powerboat Racing Association has been the host club since racing started in Point Pleasant Beach some 40+ years ago. NJ Offshore (NJOPRA) is still a very active club with over 100 members and has kept the tradition of Offshore Racing alive on the Jersey Shore for all those years.
