Jersey Central Power & Light completes 2,500 miles of tree trimming along power lines throughout their service area in New Jersey.

What does that mean for you, the customer? Enhanced system reliability.

The tree trimming throughout 50 municipalities is part of JCP&L’s $34 million vegetation management program for 2017.  The work is done to maintain proper clearances around electrical equipment to protect against tree-related outages.

Locations worked on in the Jersey Shore area include: Hazlet, Holmdel, Manalapan, Matawan, Middletown, Neptune, Ocean, Tinton Falls, Union Beach and West Long Branch in Monmouth County.  In Ocean County, locations include: Brick, Lakewood, Point Pleasant Beach and Toms River.
