Jersey Shore Area Communities Honor the Victims of September 11th

Colts Neck in Monmouth County remembers the five members from its community lost on September 11th during a memorial ceremony.

The program was held at the township’s memorial garden where five benches bear a nameplate with each victim’s name.

Officials at the event included Congressman Chris Smith, Monmouth County Freeholder Lillian Burry and the Colts Neck Township Committee.

A young woman from Colts Neck who lost her father on that day spoke at the event. She was just 6-years old.
