     St. Patrick’s Day is a huge celebration for many and it’s always a great time for us right here at home at the Jersey Shore. Looking for ideas on how to celebrate this year? ShoreTV New Jersey has you covered with some highlights of local parades and celebrations!

Ocean County/Seaside Heights Parade

Saturday, March 9th @ 12:00pm

     The parade begins at on the Boulevard and travels a little more than a mile starting at the Seaside Park border and ending at Sampson Avenue. The rain date is scheduled for the next day. This is a popular parade. Last year, more than 75,000 people came to check out the marching bands and floats.

Highlands Annual Guinness Run

Saturday, March 9h from 2:00pm-6:00pm

     The Highlands Business Partnership’s 6th Annual Guinness Run fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 2PM. Registration is $30.00. The race will begin at the Chubby Pickle, 23 Bay Avenue, where contestants will fill their cup and race to Miller St., and back to the finish line at the Chubby Pickle. All runners must be 21 years of age and proof of age is required the day of the race. All registered runners will be issued a number. This number must be worn during the race to qualify to win.

Atlantic City Parade

Saturday, March 9th @ 12:00pm

     The parade begins North of the Garden Pier and the Boardwalk ending at Albany Avenue and the Boardwalk. It will feature pipe bands and string bands.

Asbury Park Parade

Sunday, March 10th @ 1:00pm

     The parade route begins at the Asbury Park Boardwalk on Ocean Ave at 5th Ave and continues southwest towards the downtown. The reviewing stand & VIP area will be located at Press Plaza (Cookman/Emory Ave). The parade ends on Main St in Municipal Plaza.

Freehold St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl 

Thursday March 14th 8:00pm-10:00pm

     The Pub Crawl will take place in Downtown Freehold on March 14th. This event will stop at some of the most popular pubs in the town. These include The American Hotel, Federici’s, Court Jester, and Metropolitan Café. There will be bagpipers. Tickets can be found online and guests must show ID.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Celebration Wildwood

Saturday, March 16th @ 11:30am

     A ceremony will begin on the front steps of North Wildwood City Hall, 10th & Atlantic Avenue, in North Wildwood beginning at 11:30 a.m. The parade will begin at noon and proceed north on Atlantic Avenue to Olde NJ Avenue. Participants include VFW Color Guard, Vietnam Veterans of America, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Irish Pipe Brigade, Emerald Society, Miss North Wildwood, Queen Oceania, Anglesea Irish Society, Sheriff Mounted Patrol, local school bands, and much more!

Laurita St. Patrick’s Day Festival

Saturday, March 16th from 11:30am-8:00pm

Sunday March 17th from 11:30am-7:00pm

     Whether you’re Irish or just look good in green, you can celebrate at the Laurita St. Patrick’s Day Festival. Enjoy great Irish food and music. Bring your family and friends to Laurita for fun, toe-tapping Irish music, and an all-around great time!

St. Patrick’s Day @ iPlay America

Sunday, March 17th 11:00am-9:00pm

Highlands Parade

Saturday, March 23rd @ 2:00pm

     The parade will begin at Huddy Park, with hundreds scheduled to march along a one-mile stretch of Bay Avenue, including bagpipers, marching bands and floats.

Keyport St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Saturday, March 23rd @ 1:00pm

     The parade begins at St. Joseph’s Church on Maple Place and will move to West Fourth Street and continue on Maple Place to Broad Street where it will then head down to West Front Street, ending at Fireman’s Park.
