Think Pink and help KNOCK OUT CANCER!

Breast Cancer is the second most common type of cancer found in women. Each year, one out of every eight women is diagnosed with breast cancer.  This according to the American Cancer Society. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  At ShoreTV New Jersey, we are proud to show our support of all the local efforts to raise awareness in and around the Jersey Shore. This month gives everyone a chance to learn the importance of breast cancer awareness, spread the word and make a difference.

Shore TV New Jersey is proud to recognize the Jersey Shore area’s very own supporter of breast cancer awareness efforts, the Kappa Nu Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at Monmouth University!  This group of fine women shows their support for their national philanthropy, Breast Cancer Awareness and Education, by doing several different fundraisers throughout the month of October.

On October 9th, the Zetas will be attending the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk hosted by the American Cancer Society. The walk is being held at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center. For more information or if you’d like to sign up or donate—click here:

ZTA is partnered with the National Football League’s “A Crucial Catch” program to distribute pink ribbons and breast cancer educational materials to fans at games across the country including New Jersey’s Met Life Stadium. This is a huge fundraiser for the organization and it really helps increase awareness, educates and helps raise funds for breast cancer awareness and education research. The members of Zeta Tau Alpha will be at the Giant’s game on October 16th and the Jets Game on October 23rd. Be sure to look out for the women and help support a great cause! They will be walking around the tailgate giving out ribbons and collecting donations.

Starting October 10th through October 14th, the sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha at Monmouth University will be hosting their annual Think Pink Week on campus. During this week, the Zetas will be holding different events throughout campus to raise awareness to the students and faculty.
