11-year old Ethan Driver from Freehold is the New Jersey Winner of the SIFMA Foundation’s InvestWrite Competition!

Ethan is a 5th-grader at Park Avenue Elementary School in Ms. Suzanne Peltzman’s class.  He is pictured here with his Principal and family.

The SIFMA Foundation is dedicated to building knowledge and understanding of the financial markets for all people with a focus on youth.  They work to bridge classroom learning in math, social studies and language arts with knowledge needed for personal financial planning.

The InvestWrite program challenges students to consider an investing scenario.  They are then asked to make recommendations for short and long-term financial goals.

Organizers say Ethan’s innovative ideas and strong essay earned him the InvestWrite Genius title this year!  Ethan’s essay focused on how things he sees on his way to school have been impacted by investments.  His essay also explored how long-term investments would benefit his community.

Way to go Ethan making the Jersey Shore area proud!
