Bring your favorite canine friend along to the Ocean County Mall to take pictures with Santa Claus himself! This event is free to all (including your four legged friend) and will take place from 6 pm to 7pm.

Learn all about the ocean and its incredible properties during this drop-in series. Join the fun and explore different aspects of oceanography through interactive discussions and hands-on experiments.

Come to RWJBarnabas Health Arena at Toms River High School North on March 3rd for an afternoon celebrating Women! There will be shopping, demonstrations, samples and prizes. Admission is FREE and the event runs from 11Am to 3PM.

In 1735, Mother Leeds was about to deliver her thirteenth child. Feeling tired and weary of the burden, she cursed the unborn child. According to the folklore, she gave birth to the devil’s child at their home in the Pine Barrens. Today, the tale of Jersey Devil is often discussed as just that – a tale. However, during the time of the fabled Jersey Devil’s reign of terror, South Jersey residents were truly frightened. How the accounts were reported on and the folklore that developed will be discovered.

Presented by the Performing Arts Academy (PAA) Tech Club, Tech Fest is Ocean County’s number one student run music festival. Come listen to a wide variety of music preformed by 20 bands and artists from the tri-state area as they perform on two stages managed by the students of OCVTS.

Get your tickets for $10 at the door and gain access to a day of great music and fun. Artists range from your favorite local bands to emerging artists from the Performing Arts Academy. The Dennis Bourke Hopes and Dreams Scholarship, named after Dennis Bourke, the founder of the OCVTS Audio for Electronic Media program, is designed to give two graduating seniors from OCVTS an advancement in the technical field.

A Wildwood’s tradition since 1909! Registration at Wildwood’s Convention Center from 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. No entries accepted after 5:30 p.m. Judging occurs while participants are lined up in the circle in front of the Convention Center. Line-up begins at 5:30 p.m., parade steps off at 6 p.m. SHARP with final route TBD.  Baby Parade Winners are announced following the parade. FREE to register. PAID parking at the convention center’s daily rate. Rain date is Thursday.

The Barnegat Bay-Little Egg Harbor estuary is under threat. Suburban sprawl and over-development prompted the Governor of New Jersey in 2010 to direct the NJ Department of Environmental Protection to research and develop a protection plan for the Ocean County bay. Citizens from the region, recreational users, commercial fisherman, activists, scientists, and land developers all shared their experiences with the NJDEP to develop a research strategy towards formulating new regulatory policies and a management plan for protecting the bay. This session explores how the research impacted the protection and stewardship planning. Issues of concern to the environmental regulatory agencies and the public include: nuisance jellyfish blooms, excess nutrients, the imminent closure of the Oyster Creek nuclear power plant on the bay, the benefits of marine conservation zones, and the status of the fish, crab and shellfish populations. Noteworthy is the collection of these data before and after Superstorm Sandy came ashore at BB-LEH, and its impact on the shallow bay. This program is part of the NJ Council for the Humanities Public Scholars Project. Event is free with a museum admission.

Owners displaying cars should report to Hadley Avenue, off of Hooper Avenue as always but will not start lining up at Washington St. but at the corner of Hadley and Madison Ave.  Cars will still face South like last year. Please arrive to start lining up beginning at 4:30pm.  Cars will be directed onto Washington St. starting no earlier than 5:00pm.  The area gets congested with traffic around 4:30 so we try to wait to move cars into their places until employees have left the downtown. Owners with vintage automobiles dating prior to 1986 are eligible to compete for a “Best in Show” trophy. Registration is FREE.

Hero 5k run will take place at 9:30am. Hero ceremonies are at 10:30am. The walk is a 5k walk along the Ocean City boardwalk. We raise awareness of the importance of sober designated drivers. Ocean City presents the Mr. Mature America Pageant for Men 55 years and older, first event of its kind in the United States. Contestants compete in talent, poise & interview categories. This wonderful event showcases vendors of green products/ideas, environmental organizations and local businesses. This year, one of the focuses of the Commission is to spread awareness of Integrated Pest Management: broad-based approach that integrates practices for economic control of pests. Vendors’ exhibits will have a theme, a product, or a lesson that is Environmentally Themed in nature.

In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day please join us to view,  After Auschwitz,  a “Post-Holocaust” documentary that follows six extraordinary women, capturing what it means to move from tragedy and trauma towards life. This program runs for 83 minutes and is free for public viewing. Registration begins on April 4, 2019.

The Brass Family of the orchestra are often the loudest. Enjoy hearing Trumpets, and Trombones, the French Horn, and the Tuba. Hear how Ludwig van Beethoven uses Brass instruments in his Symphony No. 3 and his Piano Concerto No. 5. Afterwards, you can blow your own horn, and all the other brass instruments too!
