The mini-exhibit opening Holiday Weekend tells the story of our rural beginnings and traces the forces that transformed the Township from a farming community to a modern, high-density (2,497 people per square mile) suburb.

Bring your appetite and your walking shoes as you take a behind-the-scenes-tour in historic Hoboken, New Jersey of the most authentic Italian gourmet food businesses in the United States! You’ll visit Carlo’s City Hall Bake Shop, home of “Cake Boss”, as seen on The Learning Channel. You never know which cast member we’ll run into! Sample some award-winning mozzarella cheese that’s made right in front of you at Lisa’s Italian Deli, named best Italian deli by NJ Monthly Magazine (again!). Try a piece of warm Italian bread, hand made and baked in a traditional coal-burning brick oven. Tours leave Saturday afternoon from the main entrance of the Hoboken, New Jersey PATH station (Corner of River Street & Hudson Place). Tours are at 2PM.

Experience an early spring sunset without the summer crowds at the Belmar Marina. We will meander from the Belmar Arts Center along the Shark River Promenade to the end of Pier 9 to enjoy a peaceful sunset of “the hills”. Every sunset is unique and beautiful with it’s long shadows and soft light. Designed as a fun, foto evening where you can practice and improve your photography skills, move beyond taking just another pretty snapshot and develop your creative eye. Michael will guide you with suggestions on composition, perspective, and externalizing your mind’s eye.

Welcome to a new season at Fosterfields! Say hello to the farm animals, help with chores, tour the Foster home, The Willows, enjoy unique programs, and explore the interactive Transportation Exhibit. Admission to the farm and The Willows is $6 per adult, $5 per senior (65+), $4 per child age 4 – 16, and $2 per child age 2 & 3. FREE per child 2 & under, and Friends of Fosterfields and Cooper Mill members with a current membership card. Special event fees may apply to certain programs.

Come to Asbury Park this April for the annual Restaurant Tour! The event, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, features small “bites”, sampling and demos at 25+ Asbury Park restaurants, lounges, juice bars and breakfast rooms. Foodies will be treated to some of the classic restaurant pioneers of Asbury Park, as well as recent newcomers to the blooming Asbury Park culinary landscape.

Come to the Jenkinson’s Pavillion Restaurant this May for a celebration of teaching and learning! “A Celebration of Boros Best” will be hosted by the Point Pleasant Foundation for Excellence in Education.
The Honorees will be the Teachers of the Year, Student Scholarship Recipients, and for the first time ever Foundation Classroom Grant Winners!

Come to Point Pleasant this May for the 6th annual “Derby For Declarations” watching the 144th version of the Kentucky Derby! The event will be held in the beautiful, private living room of the 709 South Restaurant with a live stream of the race.
There will be hand rolled cigars, complimentary mint juleps, open bar, delicious hors d’oeuvres, a large dinner buffet, a raffle with a LOT of awesome prizes and of course the The Best Hat Contest!!!

Sip and savor the award winning flavors of the area’s premier handcrafted fine wines. Includes tastings from Balic Winery and Tomasello Winery, signature wine glasses, stroll through the Historic Towne of Smithville and the Village Greene, salt water taffy, area meal coupons, professional tour host, and round trip transportation.

A “Behind the Scenes” tour is offered every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. This in-depth 2 hour tour leads guests through several sections of the organ which are normally closed to the public and gives an extremely detailed look at the mechanism of the instrument, its history and the current restoration project. This tour does involve an extensive amount of walking and stair climbing. An alternate tour path is available for persons with limited mobility.
The tour is followed by a 1/2 hour concert

The Village Inn is located in Englishtown, Monmouth County, New Jersey and offers tours through out the house. Your tour takes you back into history when it was Washington’s Headquarters during the Revolutionary War. The building was built in 1732 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 13, 1972. They offer snacks and small gifts at the end of the tour.

Taste gives you a chance to sample the many wonderful restaurants in Atlantic Highlands and enjoy the unique retail shops along the way. Make your way through this waterfront town on a classic trolley or party buses that will shuttle attendees around the town to participating businesses.

Two tours to choose from! At 12:15pm Our Iron Works Tour invites you to explore the village history by learning about the iron making process and touring the historic sites that played a part in the Howell Iron Works production. Includes visits to the VisitorCenter/Museum, Foreman’s Cottage, Blast Furnace, Blacksmith Shop, Carpenter’s Shop, Carriage House, Enameling Building, General Store.
