A production of the non-profit organization Jazz Arts Project, the Sinatra Birthday Bash is every December on or around Frank Sinatra’s birthday as a tribute performance to this American icon. This is the original Sinatra tribute concert in New Jersey and takes place each year at the historic Count Basie Theatre.
Known as Newark’s “Musical Ambassadors”, NBCS was named the Discover Jersey Arts winner of the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Choral Group for 2015. Our students have been heard throughout the world, performing a diversified repertoire that includes classical music, spirituals, folk music and jazz.

The Lords of 52nd Street are Billy Joel’s original band, including Liberty DeVitto on drums, Russell Javors on rhythm guitar, and Richie Cannata on saxophone and keyboards. The band recorded and toured with Joel for over a decade performing alongside the Piano Man at famous arenas including Wembley Stadium, Sydney Opera House, Madison Square Garden, and the LA Forum.

For over 20 years, Glen Burtnik has presented numerous holiday performances. Starting in 1990 in Asbury Park, graduating to New York City for 10 years, then back to New Jersey, filling larger theaters. Burtnik’s legendary holiday shows have always included performances by surprise guests with a remarkable and diverse repertoire of entertaining music. There will be Christmas caroling, hot chocolate, doughnuts, candy canes, and, of course, a special visit from Mr. and Mrs Claus and their elves.
Christmas with Rockapella stars one of the world’s most sophisticated, lasting, and imitated vocal groups. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more influential group out there in this new era of movies like Pitch Perfect, network television a cappella shows, and innumerable college vocal groups that own the corner of cool on campuses everywhere.

When his granddaughter Jenny comes for a visit, Farmer Brown declares the farm a “tech-free zone.” He confiscates her laptop, leaving it in the cold barn along with the shivering cows who use Jenny’s computer to type messages requesting blankets.
