
Friday, February 16th the Mambo Kings will be performing some seriously spicy music that is sure to bring you to your feet. The Mambo Kings celebrate the music and history of Latin America with a jazzy twist, incorporating musical influences from several genres and incorporating into one great show! Diavolo architecture in motion uses dance to portray the connection between the human body and its architectural environment. The Diavolo group has had an incredible twenty five years of performances and continue to put on a great show for all. With intense physical choreography, no narration and incredible display the performance shows how we as humans are all affected emotionally, physically and mentally with the experiences and places that humans inhabit.

The Cuba Today exhibition brings together a diverse group of photographers whose journeys have taken them from Santiago De Cuba and Guantanamo in the east to Camaguey, Trinidad, Santa Clara, and Havana in the west. Their work offers us an opportunity to see Cuba with new eyes. Their images are a testament to richness of the Cuban peoples heritage, culture, history, diversity, and ingenuity as well as the Cuban government’s reminders of their revolution and the U.S. Trade Embargo. The twelve artists in the exhibition are Barbara Berger Brill, Cyndie Burkhardt, Constance Sterling-Engman, Jan Kounitz, Marsha Michel, Mansa K. Mussa, Nancy Orl, Franc Palaia, Karen Rossen, Jay Seldin, Heidi Sussman, and Peter Tilgner.

Gear up for our upcoming production of Dancing at Lughnasa with an Irish Step Dancing class held right here in our lobby! Join us as The Jig Factory Irish Dance School performs a couple Irish dance numbers followed by a demonstration and breakdown of a series of traditional dance steps that will culminate in a group number. Afterward we invite you to stick around to enjoy some traditional Irish tea time treats. No dance experience required. All are welcome!

In 1735, Mother Leeds was about to deliver her thirteenth child. Feeling tired and weary of the burden, she cursed the unborn child. According to the folklore, she gave birth to the devil’s child at their home in the Pine Barrens. Today, the tale of Jersey Devil is often discussed as just that – a tale. However, during the time of the fabled Jersey Devil’s reign of terror, South Jersey residents were truly frightened. How the accounts were reported on and the folklore that developed will be discovered.

Learn the mathematics behind origami and create a modular origami structure. Presented by Jacqueline Lee.
Modular origami is a paperfolding technique which uses two or more sheets of paper to create a larger and more complex structure than would be possible using single-piece origami techniques. Each individual sheet of paper is folded into a module and then modules are assembled into an integrated flat shape or three-dimensional structure.
