The saxophonist and composer will be performing. He is an extremely popular jazz artist, and anyone who enjoys this genre of music should consider it a must-see. Over the years, James has racked up sales of more than three million records, four RIAA gold albums, four GRAMMY nominations, a Soul Train Award, nominations for two NAACP Image Awards and 10 CDs atop Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.
The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairy-tale about wishes, family and the choices we make. Everyone’s favorite storybook characters are brought together for a rare modern classic. The story follows a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s festival; and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When all of their tales and the tales of other fairy-tale characters lead to the woods and become intertwined, dreams come true and wishes are granted. Their happiness has consequences though, and the characters are forced to band together to save the world from destruction. The musical score by Stephen Sondheim is breathtaking.
