Wanda Sykes has been called “one of the funniest stand-up comics” by her peers and ranks among Entertainment Weekly’s 25 Funniest People in America. Her smart-witted stand up has sent her career in many different areas.
Her work over the years included comedy that touched on politics, her personal life, and observational humor. Wanda has starred in numerous television comedy specials, on Comedy Central and HBO. Her latest comedy special, What Happened…. Ms. Sykes premiered in Fall 2016 on Epix.
Wanda has appeared in several films, like 2017’s Snatched with Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn, Evan Almighty in which she co-starred with Steve Carell, and Monster-In-Law starring opposite Jane Fonda, to name a few. She can also be heard in animated movies like Over the Hedge and The Barnyard, and as “Granny” in the most recent Ice Age films.
Her first book titled Yeah, I Said It, published by Simon and Schuster, hit bookstores in September 2004. Yeah, I Said It is a hilarious collection of essays touching on life, family and current events.

Join Santa on the train in Little Silver or meet him at the Red Bank train station when he arrives. There’ll be festivities before and after the train arrives with the Kathryn Barnett dancers and the Pipes and Drums of the Atlantic Watch. Once in Red Bank, Santa will board a firetruck and lead the parade to Broad Street for the Holiday Express Concert & Town Lighting.
