Hero 5k run will take place at 9:30am. Hero ceremonies are at 10:30am. The walk is a 5k walk along the Ocean City boardwalk. We raise awareness of the importance of sober designated drivers. In this 2-hour self-defense course women ages 16 and up will be taught basic striking, as well as how to escape from holds, chokes and grabs. Defensive moves are taught from both standing and ground positions. Dan Chandler a 2nd degree black belt and American Top Team Level 3 MMA instructor with years of experience working with kids and adults will lead class. *Please wear comfortable clothes*

The 4th Annual Lobster Run, a 5k to care for the coast, benefiting the American Littoral Society. Join the American Littoral Society and Langosta Lounge for a lobster themed fun run along the Asbury Park boardwalk. The event is for all ages and ability levels. Bring your spouse, kids, nature lovers or outdoor enthusiasts. Form a team with co-workers or denizens of your favorite bar and whet your appetite for brunch at Langosta Lounge. The American Littoral Society promotes the study and conservation of marine life and habitat, protects the coast from harm, and empowers others to do the same.
Kids start and finish at the same location running 1/2 mile south on the Boardwalk and back. Parents are welcome to run or walk with kids, but are not required. Awards will be given to the First, Second and Third place overall boy and girl and in each age group.
Run in the shadows of the shore’s iconic music joints, retrace the footsteps of Springsteen, and cruise past the endless beach towns of Ocean Grove, Allenhurst, Deal, Monmouth Beach, Loch Arbour, and Long Branch. Awards will be given for 1st-3rd Males and Females for each of the following age divisions: Ages 19 & under, 20-24 , 25-29 , 30-34, 35-39, 40-44 , 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69. Top 3 finishers 70 and up will receive an award as well.
The Cape May County Coast Guard Community Festival is presented by the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation in partnership with the County of Cape May and its 16 municipalities, the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, the City of Cape May and community sponsors.
The festival honors the men and women of the United States Coast Guard and celebrates the county’s designation as a Coast Guard Community. The designation was awarded after approval by the United States Coast Guard and an Act of Congress in 2015.
Considered by many to be the Coast Guard’s hometown, the festival takes place at Training Center Cape May (TRACEN) – the only active Boot Camp for Coast Guard recruits in the United States.
A weekly ceremony every Sunday morning to raise the casket flag of a Veteran to honor and remember ALL Veterans, held at the Lou Booth Amphitheater at 2nd and Ocean Avenues in North Wildwood. Arrive 10 minutes before sunrise to participate in a 20-minute tribute and inspirational message at the most beautiful vista on the Jersey Shore. This location offers photo ops galore! The Flag Raising Ceremony is weather permitting as Veteran Casket Flags are not for all-weather.
