Once again we will be closing Morris Avenue from Third to Fourth to turn the space into an Italian village. There will be live music with Julian & Dominique , Italian food provided by our member restaurants with a wine and beer garden to give us the al fresco food court that our visitors have come to love.
We are having Face Painting and Balloon Twisting and for the first time at the Italian Festival, a Petting Zoo –it was a big hit at the Irish Festival! The Spaghetti Eating Contest, a crowd favorite, will be back as well. New to the Italian Festival will be the Spring Lake School of Dance performing Italian folk dances – a tremendous draw for families and friends. Not new, but always a draw, is the festival Art Walk that will take place along Third Avenue. There will be music on Third too!

Over 40 artists and craft makers. Santa arrives by fire truck in Viking Village to 19th & Bayview Ave, at around 1pm. Bring your own camera for pictures with Santa. All shops are open, available seafood takeout, gourmet coffee bar, a fire pit for smores, lawn games, live music, and endless merriment!

Choo Choo Soul is a children’s entertainment act composed of singer Genevieve Goings as a hip-hop train conductor and her partner, Constantine “DC” Abramson, a dancer and beatboxer dressed as a railroad engineer.
Choo Choo Soul has toured with The Imagination Movers’ “In A Big Warehouse” tour, and continues to add their own tour dates to their calendar all across the country! “Choo-Choo Soul with Genevieve!” was honored with a Parents’ Choice Award for children’s television!
CCS was also nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Diversity in Children’s Programming.
Come to the Monmouth County Library for storytime! Children starting from the age of 10 months up to students 5 years old are welcome to come and join us for story time. This is a great event to bring children to, so that they can be immersed in early literature. This is also a good way for children to meet new people and children their age. Caregivers must be present during this time.
Infant storytime: 9:30- 10:00, for ages 10 months to 2 years
Toddler storytime: 10:15- 10:35, ages 2 years to 3 1/2 years
Preschool storytime: 11-11:30, ages 3 1/2 years to 5 years
DCappella, Disney Music Group’s new a cappella group featuring 7 world class vocalists, will embark on its first North American tour in January 2019. Created by Disney and contemporary a cappella legend Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect, The Sing Off and much more), the tour will appeal to fans of both Disney and a cappella with their modern a cappella versions of Disney hits.
The creators of Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live want to take your family on an all new adventure – this time to the bottom of the ocean. Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure is an immersive experience that invites you to jump in and explore unknown ocean depths where prehistoric marine reptiles lived eons ago – and maybe live still today! Erth shows are at the forefront of family entertainment, using actors, technology, puppets, science and imagination to create an amazing visual experience that connects young audiences to the real science of paleontology.
School is out for Presidents Day. Don’t want your kids to sit around playing video games all day? Looking for something fun to do? Come in to Fort Monmouth Recreation Center in Tinton Falls! Children can play at the indoor facility, as there are a variety of options during this open play time. These games include basketball, air hockey, and ping pong. Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Older children can sign up for different tournaments, such as a pickle-ball one. The cost is only $5 per person at the door, and you can stay as long as you would like.
The event showcases the tremendous talent OceanMHS has discovered from individuals suffering with mental illness. This is an opportunity to eliminate barriers and misconceptions surrounding mental health, encourage positive conversations to reduce stigma, and shed light on the changing climate of mental health treatment in NJ. The event will contain paintings and drawings, mixed media, and several forms of creative expression provided by children and adults seeking services at OceanMHS.
If you’re interested in learning about the many different habits of Ocean County’s turtles, come down to Cattus Island County Park. This event allows you to see the turtles in the natural habitats. There will also be discussions of the different types of reptiles who live in the park. The event will also include getting to meet live turtles during a demonstration feeding
The hit Disney Junior Dance Party On Tour Presented by Pull-Ups® Training Pants is coming to Asbury Park! Sing and dance along to Disney Junior’s greatest hits with your favorite characters at this interactive live concert experience – now featuring Fancy Nancy! Kids of all ages and their families are all invited to the biggest dance party around!
Guests may bring their own standard or in-line skates or they can rent them from our facility. Admission fee is $5 per person. Skate rental is $2 for traditional skates and $4 for in-line skates. Admission for non-skaters is $2. Skaters can take a break from the rink and enjoy soft drinks, water, and light snacks at the concession stand.
*Teen skate is $5 for skaters and non-skaters.
Scheduling is available for birthday skate parties and private events.
