Ho Ho Ho! The Asbury Park Santa Run returns for its third year to lead thousands of Santas through the streets of Asbury Park on December 8th. Run (or walk) a 5K course in support of local charity Lunch Break and cross the finish line into an epic after party featuring live music by Brian Kirk & The Jirks at The Stone Pony! The event showcases the tremendous talent OceanMHS has discovered from individuals suffering with mental illness. This is an opportunity to eliminate barriers and misconceptions surrounding mental health, encourage positive conversations to reduce stigma, and shed light on the changing climate of mental health treatment in NJ. The event will contain paintings and drawings, mixed media, and several forms of creative expression provided by children and adults seeking services at OceanMHS.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is about having fun to help put kids on a positive path in life! Raise funds and bowl with friends, family or coworkers to support the BBBS 1-to-1 mentoring programs.

The Foundation for MERS is hosting an elegant evening of music, dinner and dancing for daughters of all ages and their father or guardian. Dance the night away with total entertainment with your special little girl while supporting a good cause.

Bring your sneakers, your water bottle, and a friend!  Enjoy a few hours of socializing at Cape May Convention Hall.

Walk the indoor roller rink or relax in the atrium and take in the beautiful views of the beach and ocean!

Guests may bring their own standard or in-line skates or they can rent them from our facility. Admission fee is $5 per person. Skate rental is $2 for traditional skates and $4 for in-line skates. Admission for non-skaters is $2. Skaters can take a break from the rink and enjoy soft drinks, water, and light snacks at the concession stand.

*Teen skate is $5 for skaters and non-skaters.

Scheduling is available for birthday skate parties and private events.

In this 2-hour self-defense course women ages 16 and up will be taught basic striking, as well as how to escape from holds, chokes and grabs. Defensive moves are taught from both standing and ground positions. Dan Chandler a 2nd degree black belt and American Top Team Level 3 MMA instructor with years of experience working with kids and adults will lead class.  *Please wear comfortable clothes*

Join us as we present “Doggy Noses & Yoga Poses” on behalf of Morgan Furstenberg at Dark City Brewing Company to benefit Husky House! You do the yoga–the pups do the cuddles! Adorable ADOPTABLE puppies and dogs will be allowed to ROAM FREELY and interact with you during this one-hour mixed level yoga class, so be prepared to get puppy kisses! Ticket includes the yoga class featuring instructor Stevie Leah-RYT200, and a complimentary pint after the class (for guests age 21 and over).

After last year’s successful inaugural event — featuring heavy-hitters such as Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, Former Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, Freeholder Ashley Bennett, Comedian Julia Scotti, and more — Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn, Councilwoman Yvonne Clayton, Comedian/Politico Jess Alaimo, and AP Women’s March founder Dani Fiore are keeping the conversation going with the event which again promises to be both both educational and entertaining. The non-partisan event aims to look at issues that affect women across party lines in an engaging and realistic manner. The APWC will not only leave audience members inspired but also with direction on how to actually bring forth change. Last year, with over a thousand women in attendance at the Paramount theatre, the Convention addressed issues such as: Equal Pay, Women’s Healthcare, and Sexual Violence. This year the event will be at the Stone Pony and will tackle the issues of: Cannabis and Wellness, Being A Trans Ally (with Garden State Equality), and Agreeing To Disagree.

APWC co-founder Deputy Mayor Amy Quinn adds, “We are once again thrilled to host an event which brings together women of different ethnicities, political affiliations, and ages to ensure all our voices are being heard on issues that matter to us all. The Monmouth Hawks women’s Lacrosse team looks to soar over the Marist Red foxes in a conference battle on Hesse Field on the Great Lawn!

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center will host its annual Sippers for Flippers fundraiser from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Nauti Spirits Distillery in Cape May. The event will feature an auction, live music from the duo Clavicles as well as a variety of cocktails made with Nauti Spirits. In addition, samples of specialty dishes from a variety of local restaurants such as Mama Mia’s Ristorante, Fins Bar and Grille, The Ugly Mug and many more will be on hand.

S.A.V.E. Animal Shelter’s is proud to announce their 8th Annual Spring Fling Gift Auction. This party is a major fundraiser of theirs. The price to attend is $15.00, which includes a free sheet of tickets, free coffee, tea and dessert. Food can purchased at that time. It is always a fun night for all. The 4th Annual Lobster Run, a 5k to care for the coast, benefiting the American Littoral Society. Join the American Littoral Society and Langosta Lounge for a lobster themed fun run along the Asbury Park boardwalk. The event is for all ages and ability levels. Bring your spouse, kids, nature lovers or outdoor enthusiasts. Form a team with co-workers or denizens of your favorite bar and whet your appetite for brunch at Langosta Lounge. The American Littoral Society promotes the study and conservation of marine life and habitat, protects the coast from harm, and empowers others to do the same.

Kids start and finish at the same location running 1/2 mile south on the Boardwalk and back. Parents are welcome to run or walk with kids, but are not required. Awards will be given to the First, Second and Third place overall boy and girl and in each age group.
