From bop to pop…for the holidays!
3 parts Jersey Boys, 2 parts Motown: The Musical and “not your grandma’s doo wop”, these five charismatic, handsome, triple threat Broadway stars – with their hot 5-piece band — tear it up, with musicality, dancing and showmanship not found with any other group in the world! Don’t miss ‘An Intimate Evening with Kristen Chenoweth when the Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress and singer visits the Count Basie Theatre. The Wicked star’s career spans film, television, voiceover and stage. Chenoweth has performed to sold-out audiences across the world, including performances at Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall. Notable television roles include appearances in “The West Wing,” Disney’s “Descendants”, and “The Muppets.”

Gianandrea Noseda conducts Cilea’s tragedy, directed by Sir David McVicar, with the action partially set in a working replica of a Baroque theater. The cast also features Anita Rachvelishvili as the Princess of Bouillon, Adriana’s rival for Maurizio’s affections; Ambrogio Maestri as Michonnet, Adriana’s faithful friend; and Carlo Bosi as the duplicitous Abbé.

Choo Choo Soul is a children’s entertainment act composed of singer Genevieve Goings as a hip-hop train conductor and her partner, Constantine “DC” Abramson, a dancer and beatboxer dressed as a railroad engineer.
Choo Choo Soul has toured with The Imagination Movers’ “In A Big Warehouse” tour, and continues to add their own tour dates to their calendar all across the country! “Choo-Choo Soul with Genevieve!” was honored with a Parents’ Choice Award for children’s television!
CCS was also nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Diversity in Children’s Programming.
