A portion of proceeds from the race go to local charity Clean Ocean Action so they can continue to work to improve the quality of our local bodies of water. The race is fittingly situated on a less than 1 mile wide peninsula surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and Sandy Hook Bay giving runners of all abilities an opportunity to run in a truly unique and natural setting.
Run The Hook is proud to be a single-use plastic free event as part of our mission to rid the beaches and oceans of plastic litter and pollution. All runners receive a commemorative pint glass as they cross the finish line in conjunction with that message in addition to a t-shirt, closed course on Sandy Hook National Park, chip timed results, and the after party.
