The MU Chamber Orchestra, comprising students, faculty, staff, and administrators, performs a variety of compositions from the classical repertory. This spring concert also features music for chamber ensembles from within the orchestra-solos, duos, trios, quintets.
This show was originally scheduled for April 7th all tickets for the original date will be honored on April 18, 2019 at 7:30pm. Refunds will be offered until February 1st.
IN THE MOOD is a celebration of the music of the 1930s & 40s – the Big Band era. It was the last time that all Americans were listening and dancing to the same kind of music. With our live sensational 13 piece String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra and our fabulous IN THE MOOD Singers and Dancers, the great melodies and lyrics that are still with us today are presented in a musical revue that is jazzy, sentimental, rhythmic, nostalgic and patriotic – all happening at the same time. This 3-hour workshop is a casual, social event where you can relax, enjoy your favorite beverage, and tap into your inner Van Gogh as you paint the featured painting for the evening on a pre-sketched 16” x 20” canvas. Looking for some Saturday fun? This unique event starts on the Asbury Park Boardwalk and ends at the Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten. Run, walk, or twirl 2.2 miles in a tutu for a great cause then enjoy a cold one with friends. Awards are given out to the best male and female costume, 1st place male and female runners and the highest fundraising person.
This weekend celebration in Cape May Court House features snacks, wine and, of course, music. The 5th Annual Pork Roll Festival will be hitting downtown Trenton for a day full of food and fun on Saturday, May 26. Beginning at 10:00 am, the festival offers a variety of pork roll menu items and other delicious dishes from award-winning food trucks, restaurants, and caterers. The event also features live music and several pork roll-themed contests. Tickets to attend cost $5.

Largest kite festival in North America held on the beach at Rio Grande Avenue in Wildwood and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Event begins on Friday at noon with the Unlocking of the Ocean media event outside of the Wildwoods Convention Center. Festivities following include opening of the kite sales tent, a Friday night social via the local kite club and the 9 p.m. illuminated kite fly. Saturday includes the silent and loud auctions (open to all) and Saturday & Sunday include the flying of large inflatable kites, sport kite demo’s, team flying as well as family games. Monday features the World Indoor Kite Competition inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. FREE to spectators.

The festival will feature activities related to traditions and cultures of both nationalities. If you’re Irish, Italian, or just a fan of the foods, drinks, and cultural elements, then you can’t miss this unique festival.

The parade starts at noon from City Hall. Festival includes live performances, over 100 vendors, family zone and food court. FREE.

The Wildwood Beer Fest is a beer tasting event to celebrate the art of locally brewed craft beer. Located in Fox Park, on Ocean Avenue between E. Burk and E. Montgomery Avenues, this festival will be equally exciting for the brew aficionado and novice alike! A ticket into this event grants you access to 100+ brews, a commemorative tasting cup, live tunes, delicious food and craft vendors. Beer sampling is unlimited with your ticket; food and merchandise are available for purchase. Entrance will only be permitted to ticket holders 21 years old with a valid ID, no exceptions. The festival will be broken up into two separate sessions. A ticket allows entrance into a specific timed session – festivalgœrs are only permitted to attend one session: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. or 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. All brews and vendors will be the same in both sessions; however, bands will change per session. Tickets can be purchased for $40 in advance or $45 at the gate while tickets last. Designated Driver tickets will be available for purchase at the gate for $5 with a valid ID.
