JCP&L Power Employees Helping Hurricane Victims in the South

While the Jersey Shore area was spared the wrath of Hurricane Matthew, people living in parts of the South were not.

Nearly 400 linemen, damage assessors, forestry crews and support personnel from nine FirstEnergy utilities are assisting in restoration efforts for customers who lost electric service following Hurricane Matthew.

The workforce includes 62 linemen from Jersey Central Power & Light.
