Experience some great wines and help children in the Jersey Shore area get the care and education they need!

Monmouth Day Care Center will host its second annual Wine Tasting: Raise the Sail for a Toast on Friday, June 3rd from 7 to 10pm at the Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club in Oceanport.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Monmouth Day Care Center in Red Bank, a non-profit serving families seeking quality childcare and early childhood education programs without regard to race, religion, ethnicity or economic status.  MDCC is for children from two months to five years old. More than 80% of the families receive tuition assistance so their child can attend the program while their parents are at work or school.

The Wine Tasting will feature a variety of organic wines presented by Andy Clurfeld, Wine Director for Buy-Rite.  Clurfeld long served as food critic for the Asbury Park Press and holds a certificate of distinction from the International Wine Center’s WSET program.

Guests will enjoy the view of the Shrewsbury River from the deck of the Sailing Club while listening to music provided by the Danjos.  Food will be provided by My Kitchen Witch of Monmouth Beach.  There will be a silent and live auction featuring a trip to Belize and a full day private fishing trip.  The  auctioneer for the evening is Fair Haven Mayor Ben Lucarelli.

ShoreTV New Jersey, www.shoretvnj.com, is a proud media sponsor for the event.
