The Arc of Monmouth held its annual walk in April at The Headliner in Neptune to support adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event is designed to empower those with mental or physical impairments by coming together as a community to honor them.

The charitable organization supports more than 1,600 individuals in over 200 locations throughout Monmouth County yearly. Their goal: to help all individuals with disabilities become an integral part of Monmouth County’s communities. The Arc of Monmouth highlights the strengths and abilities of those with disabilities rather than focus on what they are incapable of achieving

Before the walk kicked off, participants were invited to take part in a breakfast inside the club. A DJ led the group in a warm-up before the walk. This got the crowd moving and excited. More than 300 walkers took part.

After the walk, there was a BBQ, live music, face painting, animal balloons, and beach volleyball. Proceeds from the day went directly to The Arc of Monmouth.
