During this month, medical experts remind us of the importance of self-care. Make an extra effort to focus on your physical health and mental well-being. Even small self-care steps can have a big impact on your life.
The National Institute of Mental Health recommends:
- Get regular exercise
- Eat healthy, regular meals and stay hydrated
- Make sleep a priority
- Try a relaxing activity such as meditation
- Set Goals
- Practice gratitude
- Stay connected with people
Living in and around the Jersey Shore offers us a great opportunity to exercise at our beautiful beaches and parks. Perhaps, you can meet up with family or friends at one of our many local restaurants. Self-care can make all the difference.
