With multiple events going on, our Downtown Freehold Irish Week definitely brings people out of the cold winter blues and into the feeling that Spring is right around the corner!
Freehold Borough Arts Council’s 7th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade! Presented by the Freehold Borough Arts Council, the Ancient Order of Hibernians Div. 16, the Freehold Elks, and DowntownFreehold.com.
Sunday, March 11 at 12 PM – 2:30 PM
– Assemblage at McLean Street starting at 12:00 pm
– Parade Kick Off at 1:00 p.m.
The new parade route this year is packed with tons of fun and Irish tradition, as participants will march from McLean Street to the Elk’s Lodge. Thank you Freehold Borough Arts Council and the Ancient Order of Hibernians Div 16 for making this all possible. The parade will assemble at McLean Street starting at noon and the parade kicks-off at 1:00pm!
Trophies for the Best Dressed Baby, Best Dressed Dog, Best Dressed Adult, Best Decorated Bike, and Best Decorated Motorcycle at the end of the Parade at the Elks!

Come to the Asbury Park Convention Hall this April on one of Jersey’s most historic boardwalks for the Inaugural Catsbury Park Cat Convention! The two day event will bring together cat lovers and some of social media’s favorite felines alike! Informative sessions and seminars will be held by respected advocates and speakers on behalf of cat rescue, health and behavior, and cat related products plus innovative merchandise will be available to purchase from vendors.
Fun games like Cat Trivia, Cat Bingo, and the Cat Art show will be available for children 12 and under at the Convention Hall. However, tickets to these events MUST be purchased separately.
Children under 3 years old attend FREE.
“Dining For Adoptables”, will be the first annual fundraised benfiting the Assoicated Humance Society which is a animal shelter in Tinton Falls, New Jersey.
Tickets online are $30, while tickets on site will be $35. Kids under six years old attend FREE.
There will be a wide variety of local restaurants and sweet shops giving out samples of their yummy food and tasty treats, a Cash Bar!!(for those 21+ in age), a Tricky Tray of awesome baskets for auction, and a 50/50 auction!!!!

A Wildwood’s tradition since 1909! Registration at Wildwood’s Convention Center from 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. No entries accepted after 5:30 p.m. Judging occurs while participants are lined up in the circle in front of the Convention Center. Line-up begins at 5:30 p.m., parade steps off at 6 p.m. SHARP with final route TBD. Baby Parade Winners are announced following the parade. FREE to register. PAID parking at the convention center’s daily rate. Rain date is Thursday.
Bring your four-legged friend out for a fun-filled day of splashing & playing! Sunday, September 9th, 3pm – 5pm. Rabies tag & license required. The Bordatella vaccine (for Kennel Cough-recommended by veterinarians anytime dogs intermingle for a length of time), must be given at least 48 hours prior to this event in order for the vaccine to be effective. Rabies tag is NOT acceptable proof. All dogs must have a collar and a leash must be on hand by owner. Limit one dog per handler, NO aggressive dogs allowed (any dog exhibiting aggressive behavior will be required to leave with no refund). Every owner takes full responsibility for his or her dog at all times. Every owner must provide proof of vaccinations and license within 24 hours upon request. Advance ticket (not receipt) is required for entry. Swimming is for dogs only. Humans should not enter the water past knee depth. No puppies under 6 months of age are allowed. Female dogs in season are not allowed. Paws in the Park will be held rain or shine!
This is a Special Event, not a waterpark admission. Easter passes, coupons, specials and discounts are not valid for admission to this event. Admission is $20 per dog, $10 per handler, and extra guests are $10 each, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the local SPCA.
Santa rides the NJ Transit train into Red Bank for the annual Town Lighting & Holiday Express concert. Join Santa on the train in Little Silver or meet him at the Red Bank train station when he arrives. There’ll be festivities before and after the train arrives with the Kathryn Barnett dancers and the Pipes and Drums of the Atlantic Watch. Once in Red Bank, Santa will board a firetruck and lead the parade to Broad Street for the Holiday Express Concert & Town Lighting.

A ceremony will begin on the front steps of North Wildwood City Hall, 10th & Atlantic Avenue, in North Wildwood beginning at 11:30 a.m. A festive parade will begin at noon and proceeds north on Atlantic Avenue to Olde NJ Avenue. Participants include VFW Color Guard, Vietnam Veterans of America, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Irish Pipe Brigade, Emerald Society, Miss North Wildwood, Queen Oceania, Anglesea Irish Society, Sheriff Mounted Patrol, local school bands, and much more! Join us as we present “Doggy Noses & Yoga Poses” on behalf of Morgan Furstenberg at Dark City Brewing Company to benefit Husky House! You do the yoga–the pups do the cuddles! Adorable ADOPTABLE puppies and dogs will be allowed to ROAM FREELY and interact with you during this one-hour mixed level yoga class, so be prepared to get puppy kisses! Ticket includes the yoga class featuring instructor Stevie Leah-RYT200, and a complimentary pint after the class (for guests age 21 and over).
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft (behind Larrison Hall) from 10 AM – 3 PM. Families, friends and animal lovers will enjoy live music by The Wag, food trucks, vendors, participate in contests, take group walks around the campus, and meet our adorable adoptables! All proceeds from this event will feed and care for the many animals that come through our doors.
