
On Wednesday, April 24th there is the Wacky Science at the Monmouth Museum. The Mad Science special events are spectacular science-themed shows designed to amaze and entertain audiences.
Children will learn what a polymer is, watch the audience participant make an giant batch of slime, learn about static electricity, and more! Early bird registration is only $15.00 if you register on or before April 12th.
Come celebrate Arbor Day by learning how trees grow. Investigate the different types of trees that grow here in Monmouth County. We will then decorate twig tree crowns with different leaf shapes and colors we create. Wearing our crowns, we will pair up and create shadow drawings of ourselves as trees. The workshop will culminate in a group street mural, a larger chalk drawing in the museum’s Art and Nature Center of all of us as trees creating a temporary group mural! Children must be accompanied by a chaperone, one chaperone per child/group.
Run in the shadows of the shore’s iconic music joints, retrace the footsteps of Springsteen, and cruise past the endless beach towns of Ocean Grove, Allenhurst, Deal, Monmouth Beach, Loch Arbour, and Long Branch. Awards will be given for 1st-3rd Males and Females for each of the following age divisions: Ages 19 & under, 20-24 , 25-29 , 30-34, 35-39, 40-44 , 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69. Top 3 finishers 70 and up will receive an award as well.
