IN THE MOOD is a celebration of the music of the 1930s & 40s – the Big Band era. It was the last time that all Americans were listening and dancing to the same kind of music. With our live sensational 13 piece String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra and our fabulous IN THE MOOD Singers and Dancers, the great melodies and lyrics that are still with us today are presented in a musical revue that is jazzy, sentimental, rhythmic, nostalgic and patriotic – all happening at the same time. The show features brand-new stage production, astounding versatility and, as always, Derek’s magnetic stage presence. Fans will journey through a true fusion of dance and music, as Derek explores styles ranging from ballroom and tap to salsa and hop-hop and everything in between. Creative team and two-time EMMY® winners, Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo, also known as NappyTabs (Jennifer Lopez: All I Have Residency; Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour; GRAMMYs® creative direction), will co-create, direct and supervise choreography for the tour.

Wildwoods Convention Center. Cummins School of Irish Dance presents Feis at the Beach. Doors open at 9 a.m.; Irish dance competitions are 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The competitions will include over 1,300 dancers of all ages and expertise. Feis will be choreographed to music and prizes will be awarded. A number of vendors will be displaying and selling many Irish products. FREE admission!  Once again the main event will take place at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, on Sunday May 5th from 12 PM till 5:30 PM. 5 and a half hours of nonstop Springsteen rock and roll that will either have you carried out from exhaustion, or carried out because you refuse to leave!!

 But THATS NOT ALL FOLKS!! In addition to our now world renowned Sunday Serenade, we added another epic event that will take place Saturday night May 4th, at the rockin House Of Independents. We are so excited to announce that Spring-Nuts have teamed up with the heart-stopping, pants-dropping, hard-rocking, booty-shaking, love-making, earth-quaking, Viagra-taking, history making, justifying, death-defying, legendary Springsteen cover band: TRAMPS LIKE US” for a re-creation of what is considered by many as THE ICONIC show of the 2016 River tour. Tramps Like Us, in conjunction with our Seaside Serenade will perform in its entirety, the HISTORIC AUGUST 30th MET LIFE 3 CONCERT! This epic show is 4 hours, with a jaw dropping set list!! Many of you including myself were there for the actual show at Met Life. If it wasn’t one of your top 5 Springsteen shows, well I don’t know what to tell ya. We may not have gotten an actual Springsteen show, but damn this is the next best thing!!

Learn the secrets of how Victorian women managed to create the fashionable silhouette long admired by all. Adjunct professor of art & art history, Lydia Chiappini is also an artist who will present a fascinating program, A Victorian Lady’s Wardrobe. A resident of Blairstown, NJ, Ms. Chiappini not only creates art from fibers, acrylics, oils, watercolors, metals, and clay, but also puts her artistic talents to work as she creates and models Victorian costumes & undergarments.

Create a piece of pottery on a pottery wheel. With the help of an instructor students will learn how to “throw” a pot. The student will choose a glaze, and the staff will fire the piece. No experience necessary! Materials included.

Calpulli Mexican Dance Company premieres “Puebla: The Story of Cinco de Mayo” for one performance only on May 6, 2019. The new story by Artistic Director Alberto Lopez Herrera tells of the impossible Mexican victory at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.
