
The Historic Organ Restoration Committee will conclude their 2017 series with their annual Christmas Spectacular. Showing off the versatility of the W.W. Kimball Opus 7073 we will have silent film shorts, a Christmas Carol Sing Along as well as other various acts with both the curatorial and outreach staff as well as their volunteers serving up plenty of Chirstmas Cheer!

Monmouth University will be hosting the “Black Maria Film Festival” this March 29th in Pollack Theatre. The festival was founded in 1981 as a tribute to Thomas Edison’s development of the motion picture at his laboratory, dubbed the “Black Maria” film studio, the first in the world, in West Orange, NJ. It is a free event and will start at 6:30 PM.

Come out to Monmouth University down at Pollak Theatre to see Corneliu Porumboiu’s 2006 film, East of Bucharest being shown. This film shows an unlikely group form together to discover the truth about whether or not a historic revolution occurred in their town. Stop by and check out this classic on the big screen!
Watching the world cinema series: ‘The Wave”, this movie will be showed in Pollak Theatre at Monmouth University. This movie is about a high school teacher’s experiment to demonstrate to his students what life is like under a dictatorship. But is spins horribly out of control when he forms a social unit with a life of its own.
Make a Film in 24 Hours! Join us for a wild and fun day of creative filmmaking! Put a team together and compete against fellow filmmakers for cash prizes and a chance for your film to be included in FilmOneFest. Teams are given an assignment (a prop, a location and a line of dialog) and they have 24 hours to create a super short film (under 2 mins).

Come to Monmouth Museum to see physical therapist Yaffa Liebermann present “I Stand up Straight”. “I Stand up Straight” is a fun and educational picture book that teaches children correct posture through a memorable poem, beautiful illustrations, and easy to follow children exercises. Space is limited with only a 25 person maximum capacity.
