Join artist, Norma Tolliver, for a unique guided painting experience! This 3-hour workshop is a casual, social event where you can relax, enjoy your favorite beverage, and tap into your inner Van Gogh as you paint the featured painting for the evening on a pre-sketched 16” x 20” canvas

Bel canto stars Pretty Yende and Javier Camarena team up for a feast of vocal fireworks on the Met stage. Maurizio Muraro is Sergeant Sulplice, with Stephanie Blythe as the outlandish Marquise of Berkenfield. Enrique Mazzola conducts.

La Fille du Régiment is a co-production of the Metropolitan Opera; the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London; and the Wiener Staatsoper, Vienna.

Instructor, Gayle Stahlhuth, artistic director of East Lynne Theater Company, uses writing and simple acting exercises to trigger the writer’s imagination. The workshop is geared for those who have written plays, as well as those who have always wanted to try their hand at writing a play. Participants are encouraged to create short plays during the workshop.

Aside from performing, directing, and producing, Stahlhuth is also a produced playwright, who has received writing commissions from The Smithsonian Institution, Theatreworks/USA and The Illinois and Missouri Humanities Councils, and grants from The New Jersey Humanities Council.  Her plays have been performed at such places as the NYC International Fringe Festival, The Samuel French One-Act Festival, Manhattan Theatre Club, Arvada Center in Denver, the Pennsylvania Stage Company, the Phoenix Theater in Indianapolis, and the Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company, located in Cape May. She has taught playwriting to a variety of ages throughout the country at theaters, universities, libraries, public schools, and writing conferences. For several years, Gayle was a popular workshop leader at the now-disbanded North Wildwood Beach Writer’s Conference.

The Police Athletic League of Cape May will hold its 14th annual Comedy Night Social.

The event will be held at the Cape May Convention Hall and will feature 3 headline comedians.

“Words & Music,” Monmouth University’s Grammy Affiliate program offers an intimate conversation with the musician and writers of our day. Hosted by Dean Kenneth Womack, the series will be convened at the University’s LakeHouse Studios space and attendees will enjoy the opportunity to interact with some of the most exciting and vibrant artists of our times.

Todd Davis is a celebrated poet of the natural world. The winner of the Gwendolyn Books Poetry Prize, he is the author of five poetry collections, including his latest book, Native Species.

Develop your visual voice, hone your perceptual skills, and print your own, fine art black and white prints during this 3-day workshop. You will use the examples and discussions of Master Printer Michael S. Miller as the basis for the development of your own personal approach to black and and white photography and print making. Designed for photographers with a working knowledge of their camera, computer, Lightroom and have a portfolio of images to develop into fine art prints.

On March 22 from 7:00-9:00 pm there is a paint workshop to paint some awesome Harry Potter painting. All witches and wizards will bring home an adorable HP mug – and meet more Harry Potter fans just like them! Ages 8+

Join a two-hour paint class taught by a professional artist. Bring your favorite wine, beer and snacks along with your friends. Wine and Designs provides everything you need from painting materials to plates, cups, napkins, utensils, ice and bottle openers for your refreshments. Ages 16 years and above permitted in adult classes. Must be 21 years or older to drink. Please arrive 15 minutes before class. No EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Join professional artist and instructor, Christine Rotolo, for a one day project for or with your child. Children will learn color mixing, brush work, and composition.
